Meet Dr. Allison Chase
A trusted partner in guiding families through the recovery journey.

"Supporting a child through an eating disorder is one of the hardest things a parent can face. I know this from my decades of clinical experience and from truly listening to parents and walking alongside them through the ups and downs of recovery. I understand the fear, the exhaustion, the second-guessing—but I also know that recovery is possible."
Introduction
I’m Dr. Allison Chase, a PhD psychologist with over 25 years of experience specializing in eating disorder recovery. My mission is to empower parents and caregivers with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to support their child’s healing while fostering resilience within the family.
My Approach
Facing an eating disorder can be overwhelming for families. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and action-oriented. I provide a supportive space where parents feel heard and equipped with practical strategies to navigate their child’s recovery. By combining science, collaboration, and empathy, I help families turn uncertainty into clear steps forward. My focus is on empowering parents with the skills and understanding needed to support their child while maintaining the well-being of the entire family.
Understanding My Role: Consulting, Not Therapy
As a licensed psychologist in Texas, I have extensive clinical expertise, but my consulting services are not therapy or psychological treatment. I offer education, strategic guidance, and support to help families navigate eating disorder recovery, but I do not provide diagnosis or clinical treatment. Consulting is forward-focused, helping parents and professionals take actionable steps, while therapy involves diagnosis and in-depth mental health interventions.
If you or your child require psychotherapy, I encourage you to seek care from a licensed mental health professional. I am happy to provide referrals as needed.
